What is Photosynthesis?
Photosynthesis is the process or mechanism by which autotrophs like certain bacteria (cyanobacterium) , Blue green algae, green plants prepare their own food.
In this process, the food (glucose) is prepared by inorganic substances like CO2, H2O in presence of sunlight .
The sunlight is trapped by the green pigment chlorophyll and it (light energy) is converted into chemical energy and thus, the food created is used in producing energy in the chloroplasts of the leaf.
